The Cube

"Thousands of years after the meteor struck, my grandfather was on the last of his seven pilgrimages to the Cube."

Report

A billion of us prostrate ourselves towards this place, this mystic monolith set in the harshest heat.

The Cube… corners aligned with the compass; axes with the paths and arcs of stars and soltices.

The cosmos picked this place, by celestial arrow. A meteor's fragment, now embedded in a revered corner, blackened by the sins of man.

They say it is the House of God, but it's kinda empty…

Is God more code than deity? An Allah Algorithm; atomic compulsions for connectedness wired to a bio-genetic impulse for immanence. Is God "what happens when humanity is connected" … and perhaps also when connected to our biospheric brothers?

Thousands of years after the meteor struck, my grandfather was on the last of his seven pilgrimages to the Cube.

Observing the great circumambulations of fellow pilgrims, he noticed the birds above would never fly over, but always counterclockwise and around, in concert with the pilgrims…

Each day, a quarter of humanity bends its bones in great meridians towards this place – at dawn, noon, afternoon, sunset and nightfall. Avian kin are seemingly wired to our impulses and compulsions too. Are the prayers of a billion souls pulsating towards a spiritual router that appears to be nothing more than a stone and marble cube?

Is this place one amongst many mystic monoliths. Dharma-loci of scattered elemental instruction and the algorithms that weave life into a fabric of connectedness.

The House of God is an ethereal Cube of Code.
